Having cuts his teeth in the live events business in the early 90’s, whilst running legendary Dundee pub, Westport Bar, Angus Robb has built a reputation in the music and entertainment industry for putting on great shows, in great venues. Over the years Gus has played a leading role in shaping Dundee’s hospitality scene, running bars and clubs, and hosting many incredible events featuring top musical acts from across Scotland, the UK and beyond.
During his twenty-year tenure as director of one of the UK’s most well-known and respected late night venues, Fat Sams, Gus transformed the venue from a 500-capacity nightclub to a 3500-capacity super-club and live music events space regularly hosting DJs and concerts with attendances over 2500 per night.
In more recent years Gus continues to deliver memorable experiences through his involvement with local independent arts and entertainment festival, West Fest, or more recently launching Dundee Fan Park, a family festival of football to celebrate Scotland’s Euro 2024 campaign. The event, held at Dundee’s Riverside Park, attracted well over 10,000 visitors over the 3-day event with live acts including Be Charlotte, star of BBC’s The Voice Stevie McCrorie, and one of the hottest DJ talents in the World right now, Hannah Laing.
